BuffTechFence Shipping Policy

Bufftechfence.com will assist the customer in as many ways possible when purchasing from us, although it is the responsibility of the customer to be available when the delivery truck arrives, to make sure all material is accounted for, and not damaged. If there is any damage, or shortage of material, it must be reported and written on bill of lading before it is signed for. The following documents must be included when filing a claim for damaged or missing goods:

 Failure to meet this requirement could consequently cost the customer to pay fees to trucking company or for storage. Bufftechfence.com does not regulate what day, or time of day that the delivery will be made, the customer will be contacted and plans will be made for date and proposed time of delivery.
If the customer is not present of time of delivery, the trucking company must be notified of the representative who will accept delivery. It is also the customers responsibility to make sure that they or the representative responsible to accept delivery is present at the time of delivery, and help unload the truck. If the order is large, it will be palletized and will either require a fork lift to unload, or it will need to be broken down by hand and unloaded. If the delivery site is in a residential area, it will need to be broken down by hand, the truck driver is only required to get material to back of truck, but may assist in unloading if he is helpful. These are common standards of trucking companies, not for small boxes that will be shipped UPS. If the customer is elderly or would just want to make things easier for themselves, a lift gate may be permitted in certain cases. For the Lift gate to be equipped on the truck, there will be an additional $150.00, depending on where the location is, the lift gate must be requested at time of delivery. On residential locations, it is the truck drivers responsibility to get the delivery to your driveway or the best location to unload. Because the truck is so large, it will not be able to pull in back yard or side of house, and is not required to help carry material that far.
Bufftechfence.com will use UPS, Fed Ex, or U.S. Mail in the case of small packages, but trucking companies will be assigned on large orders. We use several different shipping companies, and the customer will be notified once order is placed.
Bufftechfence.com makes it their priority to get material shipped out in a timely manner. Depending on the time of year, Bufftechfence.com can usually get material out in two weeks. In busier parts of year, it could be up to 3-5 weeks. If the order needs to be shipped ASAP, it needs to be acknowledged when the order is placed. Any orders taken after 1:30 p.m eastern time, will not be placed until the following day.
In the case that material that is delivered is damaged or missing, make claims without delay. Most carriers will not reflect on orders placed 9 months or more from original delivery date. As mentioned earlier, Bufftechfence.com is not responsible for any damaged material, so please do not deduct any costs off your invoice to us. Reports of damaged material must be given to Bufftecfence.com within 30 days of delivery, if no report is filed, we will assume that all material was delivered in full, and good condition. Replacement of missing or damaged material will be charged when the order is placed to your account, and then the trucking company will pay any claim or damage cost directly to you.
Do not attempt to return any goods to Bufftechfence.com, without receiving written permission from us with a return number. No returns will be accepted without a return number. Do not instruct the truck driver to return shipment when they arrive, otherwise you will have to pay a 15% Restocking fee, plus actual freight charges, even if freight charges had already been paid previously. Bufftechfence.com will not pay for ANY return that is not due to an error on our part, and some items are not returnable.
Bufftechfence.com will provide all you with assistance available, to collect loss or damaged claims from the carrier. It is the customers responsibility to file claims, and to pay the costs acquired for any replacement of materials, freight charges, or storage fees.

All orders are question for confirmation. Though it is unusual, additional freight charges may apply to certain cases, due to weight, location, size, and other variables. You will be notified of any additional charges before your order is processed and/ or approved.
